Film all planned shots and record your on-scene production sound. Follow your pre-production plan and keep your files clearly organized.

Technical Requirements

Attendance and engagement are part of the rubric.
You are expected to work actively during class time and participate in all in-class activities.

One-to-One Feedback Meeting [15m]

Each student must schedule and attend a 15-minute meeting within the available timeframes.

The sign-up spreadsheet link is available on Avenue to Learn under Announcements and inside the W7/W8 Submission Folder.

During this meeting, the instructor or TA will review your Pre-Production Package and provide feedback on the feasibility of your project and/or practical tips for recording.

Important:
Because the meeting is only 15 minutes, feedback will focus on one or two key elements that require immediate attention before or during Production Week.

Failure to attend the scheduled meeting will result in a 2-point deduction from your W8 grade.

After the meeting, you are responsible for revising your recording plan accordingly. Review your plan and identify additional improvements.

Asynchronous Production Time

During this week, you are responsible for filming all planned shots and recording your production sound.

Before recording, review:

These materials include important guidance on preparation, stabilization, sound capture, and on-set decision-making.

General Preparation

It is highly recommended that you support each other during filming.
Work in small groups (3–5 students) to assist with camera operation, sound monitoring, and continuity.

Requirements/Guidelines (Must Follow)

You do not need to shoot in chronological order.

If your project moves between different times or locations, record each scene fully before moving to the next. Avoid switching back and forth.

After recording each take, review your footage immediately.
You must check for:

❗ Do not finalize your shoot without reviewing your materials carefully.

Saving & Backing Up Files

During Production Week, you are responsible for properly organizing, saving, and backing up all materials.

Do not delete original files from your SD card until:

  1. Files are transferred,
  2. Files are renamed,
  3. Files are verified and playable,
  4. A backup copy exists.

Failure to follow the folder structure and naming protocol will affect your grade.

❗All materials must be organized exactly as outlined below❗
