Objective

Explore the foundations of non-linear video editing through hands-on learning in DaVinci Resolve.

This session focuses on learning the essential and intermediate tools in DaVinci Resolve. Everything you practice here—editing, layering, effects, and keyframe animation—will be directly useful for the third and final submission of Project 2.

The goal is to build confidence with the software so you can make stronger creative decisions in later projects.

Learn the Tools (Individual Work)

Create one short test video using DaVinci Resolve.

Before you begin, you must watch all of the tutorials: Video Editing in DaVinci Resolve.

These tutorials introduce the basic editing tools you’ll be expected to use in all video-based projects this term.
Your test video must demonstrate that you explored each tool shown.
